উত্তর: Dress Does Not Make a Man Great The king of Iran used to invite the great poet Sheikh Sa'adi very often to his court. Once on his way to the king's court, the poet took shelter in a nobleman's house. At that time, he had a very simple dress on. The people of that house did not deal well with the poet. Rather they showed disrespect and dishonour to him. The poet left the noble man's house in utter dismay. A few days later, he went there again with a gorgeous dress on. This time, he was duly respected and honoured by the people of the rich man's house. They gave him rich food to eat. The poet did not eat the food instead he began to put the food in his pocket. Seeing it, the rich man was astonished. He asked the poet about his mysterious behaviour. Then the poet said, "This food is for my dress, not for me. Had it not been so, I would have been treated in the same manner when I was poorly dressed." The rich man felt ashamed for this. He begged forgiveness from the poet. বাংলা অনুবাদঃ ইরানের রাজা প্রায়ই মহাকবি শেখ সাদীকে তার দরবারে আমন্ত্রণ জানাতেন। একবার রাজদরবারে যাওয়ার পথে কবি একটি সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তির বাড়িতে আশ্রয় নেন। তখন তার পরনে ছিল খুবই সাধারণ পোশাক। ওই বাড়ির লোকজন তার সঙ্গে ভালো ব্যবহার করেনি। বরং তারা তাকে অসম্মান এবং অপমান করে। কবি হতাশ হয়ে সেই সম্ভ্রান্ত ব্যক্তির বাড়ি ছেড়ে চলে গেলেন। কয়েকদিন পর, তিনি আবার সেই বাড়িতে গেলেন, এবার তার পরনে ছিল জমকালো পোশাক। এ সময় বাড়ির লোকজন তাকে যথাযথ সম্মান এবং শ্রদ্ধা দেখাল। তারা তাকে দামি খাবার পরিবেশন করল। কিন্তু কবি সেই খাবার না খেয়ে তা নিজের পকেটে রাখতে শুরু করলেন। এটি দেখে ধনী ব্যক্তি বিস্মিত হয়ে কবির কাছে তার রহস্যময় আচরণের কারণ জানতে চাইলেন। তখন কবি বললেন, "এই খাবার আমার পোশাকের জন্য, আমার জন্য নয়। যদি তা না হতো, তখন যখন আমার পরনে সাধারণ পোশাক ছিল, তখনও আমাকে একইভাবে আচরণ করা হতো।" এ কথা শুনে ধনী ব্যক্তি লজ্জিত হলেন এবং কবির কাছে ক্ষমা চাইলেন।
