Digital Bangladesh Digital means a system in which information is recorded or sent out electronically in the form of numbers, usually ones and zeros. Digital Bangladesh means digitalizing Bangladesh by ensuring an ICT-based society where information will be available on line and where all possible tasks of the government and other non-government or semi-government will be performed using digital technology. Digital Bangladesh is no longer the name of a dream. It is being implemented. But there are some problems such as insufficient power supply, poor computer network infrastructure, lack of ICT skilled people, etc that stand in the way of making Bangladesh digital. For implementing this dream of Digital Bangladesh, government has to take certain initiatives. First of all, uninterrupted power supply has to be ensured. We have to develop computer network infrastructures throughout the country. We also have to train our people to acquire ICT skill and ensure equitable access to digital governance services for all strata of society. The citizens of the country have to realize the importance of digitalization. They should involve themselves in acquiring ICT skill and help the government achieve the goal of digital Bangladesh. Digital governance will curb crime and corruption and pave the way for our country's rapid development. Digitalization has made our life easy and comfortable. It has improved banking, and financial activities. We can make money transfer and transaction of business within seconds by clicking the mouse of a computer. Agriculture, health, education, commerce-all these sectors are getting benefit by digitalization.
