Price hike is caused usually by short supply of commodities and inflation. The price hike that results from short supply of commodities is purely temporary. The prices come down if and when their supply is enforced. But the price hike caused by inflation (মুদ্রাস্ফীতি) on the other hand, cannot be controlled by easy efforts. People of all classes become victims of price hike. Of them, the poor and the middle class people are the worst sufferers. The prices of almost all the essential commodities rise beyond their reach and, as such, they can hardly purchase commodities as per their requirements.
