উত্তর: Festivals in Bangladesh "Baro mase tero parbon" is a familiar proverb in Bangladesh. It means, Bangladesh is a land of festivals. Our national festivals are many and varied. Some are religious festivals, some are secular and some are historical. We observe these festivals with great eclat and ecstasy. The Muslims observe the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr at the [গণিত] the fasting month of Ramadan. On this day, they offer congregational (সমাবেশ আকারে) prayers, after fasting for a month with profound delight and devotion. They give charities [গণিত] the poor so that they also can enjoy the day. After the prayer people embrace one another irrespective (নির্বিশেষে) of caste and creed [গণিত] express their fraternity (ভ্রাতৃত্ব), friendship and fellow-feeling. This is also a very happy and significant religious festival. The Hindus have many religious festivals which they observe with a great deal of pomp and grandeur.
