It is at the same time a bane to them because everyday they are getting deprived of electricity-based advantages when load-shedding occurs. Loadshedding has become a regular phenomenon in Bangladesh. As a part of the total failure of electricity, load-shedding in the evening is increasing day by day in Rajshahi city. The city dwellers meet many troubles. The students keep off their books and dive into gossip. The housewives get interrupted (বাধাপ্রাপ্ত) while preparing food for their family. Mills and factories come to a standstill for the time being. They cannot produce as much as they target. As a result, the daily essentials which are produced through electricity-run machines become insufficient (অপর্যাপ্ত) in market and their price is comparatively (তুলনামূলকভাবে) high. Due to load-shedding, food and life-saving medicine kept in the refrigerators get spoiled too. The power plants are so insufficient that. they cannot generate as much as the demand. However, load-shedding has turned into a severe crisis in almost all the parts of Rajshahi city. It should not be allowed to continue longer. To tackle this crisis head on, the government should take necessary steps as early as possible. Awareness (সচেতনতা) must be raised among the people to prevent the misuse of electricity.
