Dr. Muhammad Qudrat-I-Khuda was born in 1900. He achieved M.Sc Degree in Chemistry from Presidency College, Kolkata and D.Sc degree from London University. Then he became the Principal of Islamia College and Presidency College. He was famous for his outstanding contribution to science. He was appointed the scientific advisor to the Ministry of Defence for the Government of the then East Pakistan. After the liberation of Bangladesh, he became the Chairman of the National Education Commission. He worked as a Visiting Professor of Chemistry at the University of Dhaka. Dr. Muhammad Qudrat-I-Khuda was awarded Ekushey Padak and Swadhinata Dibas Puroskar in recognition of his outstanding contribution in different fields.
