As a matter of fact, in Bangladesh, social media influence youngsters in several (কতিপয়) key ways they help adolescents with connectivity, creativity and social causes. However, they pose greater risks of cyberbullying, false information and distractions from education. Firstly, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. allow teenagers to communicate with the globe, and to explore multicultural perspectives. Secondly, they provide a space for self-expressiori and activism. For example, the July Revolution is truly a social media explosion (বিস্ফোরণ) against autocracy (স্বৈরশাসন) and fascism. Nevertheless, excèssive use of social media negatively impacts the mental health of teenagers. They might face online bullying and low self-esteem from comparing themselves to others. Moreover, spending unnecessary hours hampers their academic performance, making it harder to focus on studies. Therefore, to manage these drawbacks (অপূর্ণতা) of social media, parents, teachers as well as the government have to restrict social media use and make laws and policies for the better future of our teenagers. In conclusion, despite social media's certain benefits, it is high time teenagers used them wisely and ethically to embrace the goodness of the digital world.
