উত্তর: International Mother Language Day The language of one's native land which is learnt subconsciously by the speakers from their childhood is known as mother language. Every nation has its own language and everybody loves his mother language. We are Bangladeshi and Bangla is our mother tongue. [গণিত] establish this language as the state language during the Pakistani regime many Bangalees including some students like Salam, Barkat, Rafiq, Safiq and so on sacrificed their valuable lives on the 21st February, 1952. And as such the 21st February is regarded as a red letter day in our national life. Every year we remember this day with due respect. Considering the significant background of this rare language movement, the UNO declared the International Mother Language Day [গণিত] be observed on 21st February every year. The first initiative was taken by the two Bangladeshis for the recognition of the International Mother Language Day. Rafiqul Islam and Abdus Salam, residing in Canada, through their organisation 'The Mother Language Lover of the World [গণিত] applied for the declaration [গণিত] the general secretary of the UNO, Mr Kofi Anan. Later through UNESCO, after a long process it was recognised as the International Mother Language Day. It is really a great achievement for Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi people.
