Sir, We, the students of 2nd Year science, would like to request you to permit us to set up a debating club in our college. Realizing the importance of English, we would like to set up an English debating club. Because we understand that taking part in English debating sessions helps develop critical thinking, presentation skills and language learning. Moreover, regular debates on important issues will raise general awareness among the students. It is an excellent way of developing linguistic skill. It is a pity that there is no English debating club to arrange debating competitions in our college. Therefore, we request you to set up an English debating club so that we can practise debating on a regular basis.
