উত্তর: Price Hike Price hike of essential commodities is the most talked topic of the present day.. When the prices of all the essential commodities (পণ্য) go too much high, suddenly or gradually, the state of the price is known as price hike. Price hike is caused usually by short supply of commodities and inflation. The price hike that results from short supply of commodities is purely temporary. The prices come down if and when their supply is enforced. But the price hike caused by inflation (মুদ্রাস্ফীতি) on the other hand, cannot be controlled by easy efforts. People of all classes become victims of price hike. Of them, the poor and the middle class people are the worst sufferers. The prices of almost all the essential commodities rise beyond their reach and, as such, they can hardly purchase commodities as per their requirements. So, they have to undergo intolerable (অসহনীয়) sufferings with their families. They find it difficult to make their both [গণিত] meet. The government should take necessary steps to check price hike on priority basis. Import of essentials may be encouraged by the government through tax-cuts. The rich and the businessmen should come forward to ensure proper distribution (বণ্টন) of the daily commodities. The greedy businessmen who hoard essential commodities with the aim to gain more profit, ought to be identified (চিহ্নিত) and stern actions be taken against those dishonest hoarders (মজুতদার). Government should also make open sale arrangement of rice, wheat, oil, onion and other essential goods to control price hike and reduce
